seeks to promote and sustain a culture of informed decision making and a planning orientation in the Diocese of Charleston to address growth and development issues utilizing the combined wisdom and experience of the Curia and other councils along with traditional models and processes of planning; 

is responsible for providing statistical analysis and other relevant information to diocesan departments, schools and parishes relating to population and growth projections, and other demographic and sociological data;

is responsible for providing planning processes and facilitation of long range and pastoral planning for diocesan departments, schools and parishes; and

monitors and reports on the effectiveness of the Synod, and other planning endeavors.
