St. Patrick’s Youth Choir established in August 2005, has little angels ranging from the age of 5 to 13. The “Choir Angels” sing ever 3rd Sunday of the month, which is our Youth Sunday. They sing Christian and Gospel genre for kids with special selections chosen for the liturgical season. They sing not only on Youth Sunday but also for other St. Patrick Church functions such as the Women’s Guild Tea. They sing at other churches in the Charleston Community also as a part of Ecumenical Outreach.
They have performed at Mt. Zion AME Church and (Mother) Emmanuel AME Church to name a few. They have performed at Mepkin Abbey and they also receive an annual invitation to perform at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration hosted by Nativity Catholic Church each January. In April 2008 they sang at the opening ceremony for the SC Council of Catholic Women’s Conference hosted by the Coastal Deanery. The “Choir Angels” also participate in the City of Charleston Christmas parade and in St. Patrick’s annual Christmas Program.
