Brief Description: This collection was gifted to the archives in 2000 and 2011 by Sister Bernadine Jax, after her tenure as pastoral administrator to the diocese.  It is divided in two series, Gift 2000 and Gift 2011.  Gift 2000 aterials include history and memorabilia of the Hebron St. Francis Center on John’s Island and a history of pastoral administrators for the Diocese of Charleston from 1989-1999.  Both were compiled by Sister Bernadine Jax, and include original and photocopied correspondence, newspaper clippings, administrative records, and photographs.  Gift 2011 include photographs, newspaper clippings, parish buillitins, parish directories, prayer cards, post cards, pamphlets, and one piece of correspondence regarding Sister Bernadine's service at the Hebron St. Francis Center on John's Island and her tneure as parish administrator at Holy Spirit, John's Island; St. Mary of the Annunciation, Charleston; and Church of the Infant Jesus, Marion.  Materials are arranged by subject at the folder level and chronologically at the item level when applical.
