following is provided to help you prepare your parish capital campaign.
It is advisable to make contact with the office of Stewardship and mission
Advancement to assist you with all phases of your campaign.
Before
getting started, it is important that you keep in mind the following points:

Your pastor
must be visible and involved

Understand
the culture of the parish before you begin

Stay organized,
get volunteers and or staff you may need

Certain
things must always be done: communication and finances

Be prompt
in saying thank you. You can’t thank people enough

Keep spirituality
in the campaign

Pray and
keep perspective

All campaign
volunteers and committee members should be the first to make a pledge.
100% participation

Make sure
Building Fund envelopes are in your parish’s regular packet of contribution
envelopes
-
Stress
giving to a capital campaign is over and above your regular giving and
it should be a sacrifice
-
Keep in
mind a successful campaign can expect to raise 2.5 times the annual budget.
