Our Mission:
The mission of Catholic Charities is to proclaim salvation through Jesus Christ
by performing the spiritual and corporal works of mercy.
Who We Are: Catholic Charities has been
a part of the Diocese of Charleston for well over fifty years serving as
the social service agency of the Church. A member of Catholic Charities
USA, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Charleston works directly and
in collaboration with parish communities and other organizations to serve
the needy in South Carolina. Catholic Charities is committed to social
ministry as an essential element of our faith.
What We Are Called to Become: Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Charleston honors the call to help build a world of greater charity, justice and peace recognizing that, as Mother Teresa said, "We can't do great things. Only small things with great love." What We Do: Catholic Charities works to accomplish its goals through the provision of direct services, consultation, education and advocacy. |
