· Grant Research – The MAC will research potential funders for program matches (ex. Catholic elementary school activities) and project matches (ex. upgrade library books).  Grant opportunities will be communicated to school administrators.

· Relationship Cultivation – Cultivating relationships with foundations improves the chances of receiving awards.  Through ongoing contact, the MAC will work to cultivate relationships with potential funders to increase our award success ratio.

· Project Identification – The MAC will help principals identify school projects appropriate for grant funding.

· Proposal Review – To assure quality control, the MAC will review any proposal or letter of intent written for a grant.

· Proposal Writing – The MAC will write grant proposals for grants pursued at the diocesan level (ex. large technology grant).  Under certain circumstances, the MAC will write grant proposals on behalf of a specific school.

· Procedures Document – The MAC offers a Grant Procedures Document to ensure that the schools and the MAC work together in an effective and efficient manner.  This document  provides the procedures to follow if a school wants a grant proposal or letter of intent reviewed by the MAC.  It  also provides instructions for schools to follow if the MAC is writing a grant proposal on behalf of a specific school.  This document can be found under the Tools section of this website.
