2002 BSA Grant Recipients

The Diocese of Charleston provides financial support through the BSA to organizations within the Catholic Diocese of Charleston whose projects and programs embrace any one of six areas of the Pastoral Vision ("Our Heritage-Our Hope," Bishop David B. Thompson, June 1995). The six areas are Evangelization, Prayer and Worship, Christian Formation, Social Outreach, Community Building and Stewardship.

Each parish and school in the diocese receives an application each year and is encouraged to apply for funding. Approximately one-third of the funds contributed to the Bishop's Stewardship Appeal are allocated to projects and programs within the diocese which most effectively address the six areas of the pastoral vision.
