Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration is offered every Saturday morning
at 9:00 a.m. and every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Please call Elaine Slan or

Adult Education classes are offered Wednesday evening in the library and

To assist the priest at the altar an acolyte must be at least a rising
fourth grader and must be trained to serve. If you are interested, please

This is a group of parishioners who provide emotional and spiritual support

Charismatic
Prayer Group
Open Heart prayer group meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the
church for a rosary, then at 7:30 p.m. in the social hall for the prayer

Children's Stewardship

Choirs
St. John Neumann has Folk, Traditional and Children's choirs. If you are

Crisis
Outreach
Assisting those who are in physical or financial need, the Crisis Outreach
Ministry reaches out to both those of our own faith community and to others
outside our faith community. Please contact Darlene Gaebel if you are
interested in assisting in this ministry.
A unified body of Catholic women who work side-by-side
with the Knights of Columbus enjoying the challenges and satisfaction
of making a difference through works of charity, devotion and promotion

This committee develops and writes our parish newsletter, Servus
Fidelis. If you are interested in helping or have any ideas you

This ministry assists those who are suffering through
a divorce. If you are interested in assisting in this ministry or might
benefit from this ministry yourself, please contact Stephani McPherson

First Friends is a group of mothers who gather weekly to share parental
concerns, information and fellowship. For more information, call Kim Anderson.

This committee organizes refreshments following our church sponsored gatherings.

Knights
of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal service organization.
To be a Knight you must be a male at least 18 years old and a practicing
Catholic (one that is in communion with the church). If you would like
more information, please contact Don Rinzel.
Lectors
To accept the call to be a lector is to accept the call to bring God's
revelation to the gathered community as that revelation is contained in
the Sacred Scriptures. Candidates should be in high school or older. Training
is available for those who are interested. Please contact Ross Gamble.
Legion
of Mary
The Legion of Mary is an association of Catholics formed with the blessing
of the church and to imitate the virtues of the Blessed Mother. The work
of the Legion at St. John Neumann is to visit those who are ill and shut-in
private homes, nursing homes, and hospitals. Please call Renate Anderson
for more information.
Liturgy
Committee
This committee is responsible for all preparations for the celebrations
of Mass including compiling the annual liturgical calendar and planning
special events. If you would like more information, please call Erika

This social ministry offers parishioners the opportunity to
become acquainted over a shared meal. If you would like to participate,
please call Marilyn Vacendak.

Meals
on Wheels
If you are interested in making or distributing meals to those in need,
please call Larry Ruelle.
Ministers of Communion assist with the distribution of the Eucharist at
Mass, to the homebound and to parishioners confined to nursing homes.
The majority of Ministers of Communion assist at the Masses on a rotational
basis. A small group of four ministers deliver the Holy Eucharist every
Sunday to homebound parishioners. They also distribute Communion every
Sunday at nursing homes where parishioners may be residing. Additionally,
some of the SJN ministers are members of the citywide ministry that is
responsible for covering the local hospitals. To serve as a Minister of
Communion, volunteers must be approved by the Pastor and receive training
in their duties. For more information please contact the church office.
This health cabinet is made up of volunteers, both medicals and non-medicals
from the parish community who have an interest in health promotion and
disease prevention from a spiritual standpoint. For more information,

Pro-Life

Sandwich
Committee
The Sandwich Committee meets every second Sunday in the church kitchen
to make sandwiches. The sandwiches are taken to St. Martin de Porres Church
and distributed to the hungry. For more information, please call Tom and

Senior
Citizens
Our Senior Citizens meet every month for lunch in the church social hall.
All St. John Neumann senior parishioners are welcome to attend. For more
