Religious Education

In addition to weekly Mass, we observe Holy Days, and many school celebrations are based on the liturgical calendar. In our religious observations, no distinction is made between Catholic and non-Catholic students, except in the reception of the Sacraments. We also have a Rosary Club which meets once a week during October and May to learn how to pray the Rosary. During Lent the children learn the Stations of the Cross. Second grade Catholic students prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Communion. Fifth grade Catholic students prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. During Advent and Lent students have an opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation during school hours. Our students are also given the choice to train to be Altar Servers and Lectors during school Masses.
